Summer Break

On the ways camping – summer ’22

Hey All – what a cracking summer it’s been weather wise, here in the UK it’s been the best summer in as far as I can remember. As you may have noticed, I decided to take some time off making videos. This wasn’t entirely down to the nice weather though, far from it. I had a bunch of real world situations that cropped up (you know when major things crop up in 3’s?…. Well, that. From computer hardware troubles (expensive and cost me a bunch of work), to a very poorly Cat (that i’m super close to), and whatever else myself needed taking care of (even DCS pilots need some sun!)

Finally, yes, a girlfriend of many years coupled with gorgeous weather, I’d have been a fool to write all that off – we’ve had a handful of weekend trips here and there, mostly camping. It’s cheap, it’s in nature, it’s peaceful, there’s no phone signals or other tech to get in the way, a camera is as technical as it gets – just what some of us, especially me, needed.

I’ve been doing some work behind the scenes towards the channel though, stuff that will become more obvious when I start putting videos out again, stuff that might seem boring to do, but will help with the overall quality of the videos – things like custom transitions and text and graphical overlays, stuff like that, which will make for a better experience for everyone watching.

I am sorry to say that one of the things I lost were 2 drives, 1 solid state and 1 M2 drive. This was very annoying, the solid state had a bunch of work on, include a couple co-labs that are now gone – unfortunately I’m not yet at the stage when I can afford to back stuff up – it’s something I will look into at a future time when financials allows, because all my money went on rebuilding the computer, from the PSU, Case, motherboard, CPU and RAM on up. My GPU and 3 other drives were all that remained from the old system.

Until then DCS pilots, YouTubers and friends, wherever in the world you may be, take care, and good morning, afternoon, evening and Goodnight.
